- DIVORCE: We are knowledgeable and prepared to handle any divorce, contested or uncontested. There is uncertainty felt by anyone who makes the decision to file for divorce. Adoptions require properly filed local and State documents, which we have experience in preparing. Guardianships, whether it is for a minor child or an older person who cannot take care of themselves, can be obtained through the Court for you to be the legal guardian over another person and protect that person and the assets of that person. Grandparents also have rights to see their grandchildren under certain circumstances. The rights of grandparents depend upon the facts of your case.
WILLS, POWER OF ATTORNEY, TRUSTS, PROBATE:
Power of Attorney will allow you to appoint a person you trust to make decisions for you, if you become unable to make decisions regarding your finances or well-being due to illness or incapacity. Everyone should have a Last Will and Testament in order to have your assets distributed the way you want upon your death. If you have children, you may want to form a Trustand designate a Trustee so that your assets will be protected for your children. Probate simply means upon your death, your Will is recognized by the appropriate Court and your estate assets are distributed/transferred to those people you chose in the Will to have your assets. We provide clients simple resolutions of complex probate and estate matters at difficult times.
